Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 April 2026 — Compliant with Ghana Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843).

This policy explains what personal data our platform collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what your rights are. If anything here is unclear, contact us — we'd rather over-explain than leave anything ambiguous.

1. Who we are

our platform is a licensed insurance broker headquartered in Ghana, and a registered data controller under the Ghana Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843).

2. What we collect

When you request a quote, buy a policy, or contact us, we collect: name, email, phone number, date of birth, address, and information about what you're insuring (e.g. vehicle details, business details, health declarations). We may also collect ID documents required to comply with KYC and insurer requirements.

We do NOT collect payment card numbers — those go directly to our payment partners (MojoPay, Mobile Money operators) and our platform never sees them.

3. How we use it

We use your data to: (a) generate quotes from our partner insurers, (b) issue and manage your policy, (c) process and pay claims, (d) communicate with you about your cover, and (e) comply with regulatory requirements (NIC, FIC, and tax).

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

4. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary data with: insurer partners (only for products you choose to buy or get quotes from), payment partners (to process payments), regulators (NIC) when legally required, and our hosting/infrastructure providers (Convex, Clerk, Vercel) under data-processing agreements.

5. Your rights

Under Ghanaian law you have the right to: access the data we hold on you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion (subject to insurance retention rules), object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

6. How long we keep it

Active policy data: for the duration of the policy + 7 years (insurance regulatory minimum). Quote data not converted to a policy: 12 months. Marketing communications: until you unsubscribe. Audit logs: 7 years.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to our platform staff and partners with a legitimate need, all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to active policyholders. The latest version is always available at this URL.

9. Contact
